Planet

Our commitment to environmental sustainability across every project we deliver.

At EEDN, we believe our legacy should be more than the buildings we help deliver. It should be a world that is better than the one we inherited. That belief shapes how we think about design, delivery and responsibility, and it underpins our commitment to creating enabling environments that support a better future for people and the planet.

Sustainability, built in

Sustainability is not an add-on to our work. It is part of how we lead projects from the outset. Our approach is rooted in reducing environmental impact, promoting sustainable resource use, encouraging responsible procurement and supporting climate resilience through the choices we make across the project lifecycle.

A practical commitment

We take a practical view of environmental responsibility. That includes preventing pollution, reducing waste, supporting biodiversity and ecological protection, and promoting energy-efficient solutions where possible. We also work to engage clients, suppliers and stakeholders in environmental awareness, because meaningful progress depends on shared responsibility as much as individual action.

Clear ambition, measurable progress

Our environmental commitments are tied to clear goals. EEDN is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2035, as set out in our Carbon Reduction Plan and Environmental Policy. On our current environment page, we also state that we are proud to have moved more carbon dioxide than we emitted in 2025.

Partnering with Evertreen

One of the ways we put that commitment into action is through our partnership with Evertreen. We fund 100 trees every month, with a further 500 trees planted for every project we complete, amounting to more than 6,000 trees each year. Evertreen’s model is focused on planting trees where they are most needed and most environmentally useful, while also financing local farmers who care for the trees and benefit from them directly.

Through Evertreen, tree planting is supported across projects in Nepal, Mozambique, Madagascar, Kenya, Indonesia, Haiti, Honduras and Nicaragua. This approach reflects the kind of environmental action we value: practical, measurable and connected to wider local benefit as well as long-term ecological impact. You can follow the progress of our forest here: our Evertreen forest.

Responsibility beyond compliance

For us, environmental leadership is about more than meeting standards. It is about continually improving how we work, being transparent about progress and helping shape projects that are not only commercially and operationally successful, but environmentally responsible as well. We want the places we help bring forward to contribute to a healthier, more resilient future.

Our commitment

We are committed to delivering project and programme management in a way that protects the environment, promotes sustainability and actively contributes to climate resilience. From carbon reduction and resource efficiency to biodiversity and reforestation, we want our work to leave a positive mark well beyond project completion.
