Last updated: 09 Jun 2026
Opening Statement
We are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking. We have zero tolerance to modern slavery across all areas of our organisation and supply chains. We are committed to ensuring we are not connected to modern slavery in any way and aim to ensure that our business operates in an open and transparent way.
1. Organisation Structure
EEDN is a limited company registered at Companies House under number 11584824.
2. Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking
We aim to work in partnership with all our contractors, suppliers and other business partners to ensure they share our values against slavery and human trafficking. As part of our contracting processes, we include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and we expect our suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same high standards. We also ask our suppliers to confirm their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
3. Due Diligence Processes
As part of our commitment to tackling modern slavery and human trafficking, we have in place systems to:
- –Identify, mitigate and monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- –Work with our supply chains to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.
- –Build long-standing relationships with our suppliers.
- –Encourage the reporting of any wrongdoing through internal and external whistleblowing procedures and protect whistleblowers.
The prevention, detection and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our organisation or supply chains is the responsibility of all those working for us or under our control. Employees are required to avoid any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy.
4. Supplier Adherence to Our Values
We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain comply with our values, we have in place a supply chain compliance programme consisting of: standard clauses in sub-contract and sub-consultant contracts, and self-certification of compliance where applicable.
5. Key Controls
Training: To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery in our organisation and supply chains, we provide training to our staff on an ongoing basis.
Other Policies and Practices: We have a number of policies in place to ensure we conduct business in an ethical manner. These include:
- –Contracting practice: We require that our contractors, partners and suppliers comply with all applicable laws, including the Modern Slavery Act where relevant, and our procurement team requires potential vendors to complete a due diligence questionnaire.
- –Recruitment policy: We conduct eligibility to work checks for all employees to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.
- –Corporate code of business conduct and ethics: We maintain a corporate code of business conduct and ethics which outlines our fundamental policy to conduct business with honesty and integrity. This code applies to all EEDN personnel and requires compliance with applicable laws and regulations in every jurisdiction in which EEDN operates.
6. Further Steps
Following a review of the effectiveness of the steps we have taken, we are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking. We will continue to: review our current internal controls, monitor any potential or arising risks, and provide appropriate training to our staff on this policy.
